Position OverviewThe?Administrative Assistant?will;Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing and arranging for deliveries Follows HIPPA GuidelinesExperience working with the Young Adult population preferred?Answer telephone, screen and route calls, take messages efficientlyArrange and co-ordinate meetings and events, record, transcribe and distribute meeting agenda and minutesMaintain, improve and organize hard copy and electronic filing systemsRoute incoming and outgoing mailPrepare and edit communications, presentations and other documentsDesign and maintain databasesFile and retrieve documents and reference materialsMonitor, screen, respond to and distribute incoming communicationsReceive and interact with incoming visitorsLiaise with internal staff at all levelsInteract with external clientsProvides timely, accurate and clear documentation according to established policies and proceduresHandles unexpected situations by responding effectively to challenges, deadlines and emergenciesAdditional duties as assigned Responds to consumer needs promptly, accurately and with courtesy and respectRepresents the organization in a positive and appropriate manner to outside resourcesSupports the missions and values of SUS and draws attention to behavior that undermines group effectiveness or is inconsistent with core valuesHSD or equivalent required, associate?s degree preferredA minimum of one year experience in an administrative settingComputer literate in word processing and excellent writing skillsSome knowledge/experience working in the social service or related field is preferredExperience working with the Young Adult population preferredSUS IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERCompany OverviewServices for the UnderServed (S:US) believes every New Yorker has the right to lead a life of purpose.
